'Radical' (2023)

'Radical' (2023)

The other day, we were hanging out with family and friends, talking about everything from food and vacations to whiskey and cigars. Eventually, the topic switched to the latest TV shows and movies. I have to admit, while I'd love to watch more often, nothing has really caught my interest lately. That is, until we started talking about this new film called 'Radical' (2023).

I wasn't really a big fan of Eugenio Derbez until I watched 'Instructions Not Included' in 2013. He changed my opinion of him as an actor. Over time, I've grown to appreciate the roles he chooses. He comes across as humble and does a great job representing Mexicans. Plus, his humor is consistently spot-on. In 'Radical,' he showed a more down-to-earth side while still keeping things light-hearted.

I won't say too much about the film, but it is based on a true story. It follows Sergio (Eugenio Derbez), a new teacher in a poor and dangerous town near the border in Mexico. He's disappointed by how the school is ignored and how little his students believe in themselves. So, he tries a radical new way of teaching to get them interested and help them realize their potential, which changes their lives.

An amazing film! I recommend it to anyone looking for a genuine and inspirational story. The perfect film to suggest on your next family get-together.
