Pipiripau is an apparel company with so much more to give than artistry. It connects people, stirs the mind, inspires thought, raises the bar, creates happenings, festivals, and responds to the community’s needs. It is constantly moving, creating trends, communicating with its base and finding ways to provide positive identity. It’s headquarters, based in downtown Oxnard, have reshaped the local vibe. It is not alone. Various shops, galleries, and hangouts are springing up in-and-around the area. Perhaps Pipiripau is part of a larger movement of artists that are front-and-center in fostering the Latino experience and helping tell the stories of Mexico’s pop culture, iconography and literature. Pipiripau is one of the most iconic brands in Oxnard, created by Heri and Rolando. They celebrate our Latino culture in a fantastic way. Their events, like Palomazo, a lively musical series and festival, bring everyone together for great performances. The Panteón Fest for Día de los Muertos is a beautiful event that helps us remember and honor our loved ones who have passed away.

They’ve also started Palabras, an open mic series that gives local artists a chance to shine. Heri and Rolando are truly dedicated to our community and promoting our cultural heritage. If you’re in Oxnard, you need to check them out!
